Our First General Assembly: A New Chapter for Bulacan Bloggers
On April 27, 2024, Bulacan Bloggers held its first-ever General Assembly, bringing together Bulacan-based content creators for a day of connection, learning, collaboration, and fellowship. With the support of its sponsors and partners, the gathering marked an important milestone in building a community dedicated to content creation and showcasing the province.
A Gathering of Creators and Partners
The day began with registration and access to sponsor booths, giving attendees the opportunity to explore participating businesses and connect with the brands supporting the event. The gathering brought together content creators from different backgrounds and niches, united by their interest in content creation and their connection to Bulacan. It also provided a platform for members, sponsors, and partner organizations to meet and explore opportunities for collaboration.
Opening the Program
The formal program opened with an invocation and the singing of the Philippine National Anthem, followed by the opening remarks of Karina Mendez, one of the founders the of Bulacan Bloggers group. Read her opening remark here.
The program continued with the presentation of sponsors by Ralph Well Canta, one of the Bulacan Bloggers’ admins, recognizing the businesses and organizations whose contributions helped make the first General Assembly possible. An intermission followed before the keynote address.
Keynote Address and Guest Speakers
One of the highlights of the program was the keynote address delivered by Dr. Eliseo S. Dela Cruz, Head of the Provincial History, Arts, Culture and Tourism Office (PHACTO) of Bulacan.
His participation highlighted the opportunity for local content creators to work alongside organizations involved in promoting the province’s history, arts, culture, and tourism. Such collaborations can help bring greater visibility to Bulacan’s destinations, heritage, and local communities through digital storytelling.
The program also welcomed guest speakers representing the offices of the Hon. Governor Daniel Fernando and the Hon. Vice Governor Alex Castro. Their participation added a provincial government presence to the gathering and reflected the importance of connecting the local content creation community with other sectors.
Together, these speakers formed part of a program that brought community building, local partnerships, and content creation into focus.
Introducing Bulacan Bloggers and Its Vision
A key segment of the General Assembly was the main presentation delivered by Earvin John Fabro, another one of the Bulacan Bloggers’ admins.
The presentation introduced Bulacan Bloggers, including its background, a brief history of the organization, and its plans for the future. It provided attendees with an overview of the community’s beginnings, its purpose, and the direction it hoped to pursue as it continued to grow.
An important announcement during this segment was the introduction of official membership, establishing a formal way for content creators to become part of the Bulacan Bloggers community. This marked a significant step in the organization’s development, helping establish a clearer foundation for its membership and future initiatives.
Games, Sponsor Presentations, and Fellowship
Beyond the presentations, the program included games that encouraged interaction among attendees and added a recreational element to the gathering.
The major sponsors were then given time to deliver promotional speeches, followed by the promotional presentations of the co-presenters. These segments provided participating businesses with an opportunity to introduce their brands, products, and services to the attending content creators.
The day’s activities concluded with dinner and fellowship, giving members, speakers, sponsors, and partners additional time to connect beyond the formal program.
From the initial registration to the closing fellowship, the event combined organizational updates, guest presentations, sponsor recognition, and opportunities for community engagement.
